Special education services and/or related services are available to students who are determined to be eligible by meeting criteria in one or more state defined disability areas. School districts are required to locate, identify and evaluate children with disabilities within their district. Once determined to be eligible, an Individual Education Plan (IEP) will be developed by the IEP team. Identified students are eligible to receive services from birth to age 21.
