• Hometown: Moved to the Adams-Friendship area as a child in the early 1980's and am a 1994 AF High School graduate. 
• Family: I am married to Brian Stanley, and we moved back to the area when our children started school. My son Ross, is a 2023 AF graduate currently attending WU Madison; My son, Lucas is a 2024 AF graduate planning to attend UW Madison. 
• Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, gardening, and reading.

• Why did you join the school board?
  • I joined the school board to become more involved in my community and to make a difference. Given my personal and professional background working with children, youth and families along with the value I place on education, I thought the school board would be a good fit.
• What is your vision for the school?
  • My vision for the school is for us to carry out our mission to prepare ALL students to perform for life. This means meeting the needs of all children and having positive outcomes for learning, so they truly are prepared to be productive and successful in adult life.

  • I joined the school board out of a  commitment to the development and success of every student in our community, driven by a belief that every child, regardless of their background, deserves access to quality education.

  • My vision is rooted in the belief that students are the architects of tomorrow, and it is our profound responsibility to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Why did you join the school board?

I find fulfillment in addressing issues that impact those I have known for over three decades—our community, including the students, teachers, and staff who contribute to our schools.

What is your vision for the school?

Our kids deserve a strong public school system. One that provides our community with energy,  as well as an identity. Without the proper support structure in place, our kids will not receive the type of education that is necessary for success in this world today. Whether they remain here in AF or whether they move elsewhere. A quality education is necessary.
