Greetings

I am Chris Robinson and I am honored to be the Principal at AFMS.  I have spent 20 years in education serving roles from PE Teacher to Special Education teacher, Athletic Director and Assistant Principal prior to this position.  Many of you may recognize me as the Associate Principal here at AFMS from 2016-2020.  After 2 years in another district, many ask why I came back after 2 years in another district.  The answer is simple, here at AFMS we have a staff that genuinely are rockstars that value the whole child's education where social-emotional learning is as important as core academics.  Here at AFMS, We believe that all students can learn at high levels and believe in breaking down the barriers that might get in the way of that belief.  We believe in building the capacity of each other through high levels of collaboration.  We believe that all students receive educational support that is tailored to their individual needs.  We believe in building community and often refer to each other as our school family. We believe in fostering a safe and supportive culture for all stakeholders.   It is with these beliefs in all kids that we can truly have a lasting impact on their educational progress.

My name is Tammie Alekna, and I have been part of the Adams-Friendship School District since 2008. For the past decade and a half, I've dedicated myself to teaching special education at the Middle School. Originally from Nekoosa, I moved to Adams-Friendship after marrying in 1991. Over the years, my journey has taken me through diverse roles—from owning a state-licensed daycare to running a TaeKwonDo center—before finding my passion in education within this community. I am honored to call myself a Green Devil and have developed a deep affection for the people here.  I am thrilled to step into my new role as Associate Principal at Adams-Friendship Middle School. Our philosophy emphasizes engaging families to enhance our students' educational journey. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with our students and families, fostering a positive and cooperative environment together.
